Mumbai Live News: Mumbai on Wednesday reported 6,032 new cases, a marginal decrease from Tuesday’s number — 6,149. The number of deaths however rose to 12 in past 24 hours from seven the day before. As many as 18,241 people recovered from the infection.

Meanwhile, the Congress won most of the seats in three nagar panchayats in Maharashtra’s Nanded district and four nagar panchayats in Latur district, PTI reported. In Nanded, voting was held for 51 seats, of which Congress bagged 33 while BJP clinched three. Voting took place for 68 seats in Latur, of which Congress won 23, BJP and NCP won 14 seats each, Shiv Sena and Prahar won six seats each. Four seats went to Independent candidates.

In other news, Navy Chief Admiral R Hari Kumar expressed his heartfelt condolences to the families of three Navy personnel who were killed on board INS Ranvir in Mumbai’s dockyard. The Vishakapatnam-based ship was in Mumbai for a cross course.
