MUMBAI: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said that Mumbai reported 270 new Covid-19 cases on Tuesday, taking the overall tally to 7,41,661.
As many as 279 people were discharged from hospitals post-recovery today. The total number of positive patients recovered and discharged from hospitals till date stands at 7,20,478.
Meanwhile, one person with co-morbidities succumbed to the virus on Tuesday. The death toll in Mumbai reached 15,952.
The recovery rate in Mumbai is 97 per cent. The doubling rate is 1,958 days.
Presently, there are no ‘active containment zones’ in Mumbai city. However, to contain the spread of the infection, BMC has sealed off 22 buildings in the city.
