A green corridor is a special route that is managed in a way that all the traffic signals that come in the route of the hospital are green and controlled manually.

On Wednesday, an ambulance was waiting outside the Mumbai airport to transport Rishabh Pant to the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and Medical Research Institute. Dr Dinshaw Pardiwala, Head – the Centre for Sports Medicine, and Director – Arthroscopy & Shoulder Service at the hospital. will oversee the treatment for Pant at the Mumbai hospital, the BCCI said.

Pant is stable and was responding well to treatment at a private hospital in Dehradun. Pant was admitted to the hospital after he received treatment for impact injuries at Saksham Hospital Multispecialty and Trauma Centre on December 30.

The BCCI panel doctors will go through the medical reports and assess the situation and the board may also consider moving the treatment overseas, preferably to London.

Pant’s luxury car hit a divider at high speed and caught fire on December 30 morning. Pant was helped by locals to escape the burning car as he had to break the windshield and jump out of it. The BCCI, in its first medical update confirmed that Pant had suffered two cuts on his forehead, a ligament tear in his right knee and has also hurt his right wrist, ankle, toe and has suffered abrasion injuries on his back. CT scans showed that Pant’s brain and spinal cord were normal.

Pant is set to be ruled out of competitive action at least for a couple of months. The India star is likely to miss the Border-Gavaskar Trophy – a 4-Test series against Australia in February-March and is doubtful for IPL 2023.
