Mumbai rain: Heavy downpour causes waterlogging, slow moving traffic – Times of India

MUMBAI: Heavy rain lashed the city on Tuesday, resulting in waterlogging in several low-lying areas and slow moving traffic. Additional traffic police personnel were deployed to guide motorists.
Waterlogging was reported on Bandra-Worli Sealink on the south bound arm, Mahalaxmi junction and Gamadiya junction in south Mumbai.

Earlier in the day, Milan Subway was shut and traffic was diverted on SV Road at Santacruz and similarly Andheri subway was shut due to water logging. But the water was drained before noon and both subways were thrown open for traffic.
Slow moving traffic was reported under Mankhurd Railway bridge (south bound arm) due to waterlogging and at Pratap Nagar in Jogeshwari. Snarl up near Family Court in Bandra-Kurla Complex led to backlog at Bandra (north-bound arm).
