2 more judges appointed at Bombay HC – Times of India

Mumbai: Bombay high court gets two more Judges. The President of India on Friday appointed Urmila Sachin Joshi-Phalke and Bharat Pandurang Deshpande, both from the subordinate judiciary, as Judges of the HC. They will be “additional Judges of the Bombay HC in that order of seniority for a period of one year with effect date they assume charge of their respective offices,” said the order. Judge Joshi-Phalke is principal judge of Mumbai city civil and sessions court while Justice Deshpande is from Goa and principal district and sessions Judge, North Goa. The new Judges will take the HC Judge strength to 58. The sanctioned strength is over 90. It has a vacancy of around 40 percent. Swati Deshpande
