Bombay HC interim protection to Neil Somaiya till April 28 – Times of India

MUMBAI: Bombay high court on Wednesday granted interim protection till April 28 to Neil Somaiya, son of BJP leader and former Mumbai MP Kirit Somaiya in the INS Vikrant restoration fund collection and misappropriation case.
In case of his arrest he will be released on a personal bond of Rs 50,000 said Justice Anuja Prabhudessai while directing the youth BJP member to appear before the Economic Offences Wing of Mumbai police for four days from April 25.
On April 13 HC had granted interim protection from custodial interrogation to Kirit till April 28 in the same case a day after the sessions court rejected his plea.
Neil later approached the HC as his anticipatory bail application too, the sessions court rejected, but on April 13.
Justice Prabhudessai will now again hear the father-son duo next on April 28. The HC also sought the investigation progress report by the next hearing.
