CONTINUING HIS attack on the BJP, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut on Friday alleged that there was a conspiracy to separate Mumbai from Maharashtra and turn Mumbai into an Union Territory under Central rule.
He also claimed that BJP’s Kirit Somaiya, along with a few others, are part of the conspiracy.
“There is a big conspiracy of Kirit Somaiya and his associates to make Mumbai an Union territory. These people have given a presentation to the Union home ministry. It started with the connivance of some wealthy people in Mumbai, BJP leaders and builders. Somaiya is leading the conspiracy and is planning to bring Mumbai under Central rule,” Raut told mediapersons.
He claimed that BJP would defame Mumbai and Maharashtra first.
“Then, it will unfold this conspiracy to separate Mumbai from Maharashtra. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray is also aware of this. Kirit Somaiya is the mastermind behind BJP’s conspiracy to make Mumbai an Union territory. This is being done so that Shiv Sena’s control over Mumbai can be finished.”
The Sena leader further said that Somaiya and his associates want to take Mumbai out of the control of the Marathi Manoos. “Somaiya keeps going to Delhi for this. What I am saying about the presentation are a fact and the truth. For the last two months, I have been watching things. Besides Somaiya, there are two other important non-Marathi people – one is from Varanasi and another is a big builder who is the financier of BJP. Money is being collected for this and I am talking about this very seriously as a lawmaker and Shiv Sena leader,” Raut added.
