Only about 18% of the surveyed graduating batch of 2021 from IIT-Bombay rated their online semester experience as excellent or very good, the rest said it was fair (32%), poor (28%) or that they were neutral (22%). In the annual seniors survey done by IIT-Bombay’s campus magazine, Insight, summarising the academics, career, and life on campus of the graduating students, many said “they were losing interest over time to the point of not attending classes”. Only about 270 students from a batch of close to 1,200 responded to the survey.
