Mumbai News Live Updates: Despite low testing, cases creep up in city – Times of India

With the addition of over 12,000 cases on Monday, active cases in the state raced past 50,000 on Monday from around 7,000until mid-December. Daily cases in Maharashtra and Mumbai increased by over two hundred and a hundred each even on Monday, when the rate is usually much lower due to low testing and delay in updating the numbers over the weekend. The state added 12,160 cases and 11 deaths on Monday, while Mumbai reported 7,928 cases and two deaths.
