The Maharashtra government on Friday imposed a ban on the assembly of more than four people in public places between 9pm and 6am, and issued fresh norms restricting attendance at weddings, social, political, and religious functions. BMC has issued an order banning all New Year events. Meanwhile, the tally of Omicron infections reported in the state rose to 108 with 20 cases of the new coronavirus variant coming to light, officials said.
