MUMBAI: The BEST bus driver, Rajendra Kale, who had crashed into a dumper at Dadar two days ago, succumbed to his injuries on Friday morning. The conductor, Kashinath Dhuri, who suffered injuries, is in critical condition.
Two passengers are also reported to be critical at Sion hospital, while four have been discharged, including two teenagers. Two passengers had minor injuries and were not admitted to hospital, an official said.
Ten people were injured when the ‘speeding’ bus crashed into a dumper truck near Dadar TT on Wednesday morning. It had taken some time to extricate the driver trapped under the smashed windscreen and metal frame. On Friday morning, he was declared dead at Sion hospital.
