Mumbai on Friday reported 762 new Covid cases and 19 deaths in the last 24 hours, according to data received from Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation. Also, 684 patients recovered, pushing the total tally of recovered patients to 6,87,550. The recovery rate of the Mumbai district is 95 per cent. The Maharashtra government will begin vaccination for those in the age group of 30 to 44 years starting today. Beneficiaries in the age group will be eligible to get the jab at several centres across Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai. Also, a special COVID-19 vaccination drive will be organised for the transgender community by Thane Municipal Corporation on Saturday.
