Mumbai city has seen a slight drop in new COVID-19 cases as compared to a spike reported over the last few days. Today, the city reported 8,938 new COVID-19 cases against over 10,000 cases reported on Wednesday, taking the overall tally to 4,91,698. Whereas 23 people also lost their lives and with this, the death toll count has increased to 11,874. 4,503 people were also discharged in the last 24 hours. The recovery rate stands at 80 per cent, while the doubling rate is down to 33 days.Dharavi is once again witnessing a spike in new cases with 99 people testing positive today. Whereas, Thane city reported 1800 plus new cases for the second time. Meanwhile, in a setback to Anil Deshmukh, the Supreme Court dismissed a plea challenging the Bombay High Court Order.
