Amid concerns over rapidly increasing COVID19 cases, Mumbai city recorded the highest daily spike in about four months. On Wednesday, 1,167 people tested positive for the virus, taking the tally of cases in the country’s financial capital to 3,21,698. The death toll reached 11,453 with four new fatalities. Maharashtra too has seen a massive spike in cases since the second week of February and reported 8,807 fresh cases. The civic body, with the help of police and railway authorities, has also launched a massive campaign to take action against the people roaming around without wearing masks.
