Mumbai news live: New COVID-19 cases below 500, more recoveries – Times of India

After reporting over 600 cases, Mumbai city on Monday saw lesser new cases. With 493 people testing positive for the virus, the second time in five days that the daily addition to the tally has been less than 500. The overall caseload has reached 3,14,569, while three deaths took the toll to 11,420. Meanwhile, Advocate Nikita Jacob and environmental activist Shantanu Muluk have moved the Bombay High Court seeking transit anticipatory bail after they were named as suspects in a case filed by the Delhi police with regard to the ‘toolkit’ shared by climate activist Greta Thunberg over the farmers’ protest. The plea will be heard today. In another development, actor Sandeep Nahar who was in his 30s and featured in films like Akshay Kumar’s ‘Kesari’ and Sushant Singh Rajput starrer ‘MS Dhoni’, died on Monday evening after posting a video and a ‘suicide note’.
