Mumbai: 58% of coastal road work over – Times of India

The BMC said on Wednesday that 58% of the total work on the Coastal Road project’s first phase (Marine Drive to Worli) has been finished.

Poll pressure
The Coastal Road project is targeted to be finished by November 2023. Experts say the deadline is expected to be met given that 2024 will be a year of major elections
“The project, 42% of work is in progress, at various stages,” said Chakradhar Kandalkar, chief engineer, coastal road project.
Municipal commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal said, “We are determined to finish 90% of the project by the end of the 2022-2023 financial year.”
