Mumbai COVID-19 tracker: With 334 new cases, Mumbai’s total tally reaches 3,09,631 – Mumbai Mirror

Mumbai: On Tuesday, Mumbai reported seven deaths and 334 new COVID-19 cases. The total number of positive cases in Mumbai now stands at 3,09,631, according to information received by Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). At least 11,366 people have succumbed to the virus in Mumbai so far.

Out of seven deaths reported, six patients had co-morbidities. Six were above 60 years of age and one was between 40 to 60 years.

The total number of recoveries surged to 2,91,828 with 455 new discharges on Tuesday. The recovery rate of Mumbai district is 94 per cent.

Overall growth rate of COVID-19 cases in Mumbai from January 26 to February 1 is 0.21 per cent. The doubling rate in Mumbai was 565 days as of February 02, 2021.

The number of active containment zones (slums and chawls) remain below 200 at 182.

On the other hand, Maharashtra reported 1,927 new coronavirus cases today, taking the tally to 20,30,274. In the last 24 hours, 30 persons succumbed to the virus. The death toll in the state has now reached 51,139. Also, 4,011 patients were discharged from hospitals on Tuesday, taking the overall number of recoveries in Maharashtra to 19,36,305. The state now has 41,586 active cases.
