Mumbai: Some local trains to run on slow lines amid major block for dismantling of Gokhale ROB at midnight – Times Now

Mumbai: The Western Railway will be undertaking a major block between Andheri and Ville Parle for the dismantling of Gokhale ROB (Road Over Bridge) on the intervening night of February 2 and January 3 from 12:05 am to 04:35 am.

During the railway block, some Mumbai local trains will be operated on Slow lines-a list of which is available at all Station Master’s offices, a Tweet from DRM Mumbai Central said.

Only a few days ago, the WR undertook a mega block of seven hours on UP and DOWN Harbour lines from 10 pm to 5 am on the intervening nights of January 29-30 January and January 30-31 for the de-launching of the PSC girder of Mumbai’s Gokhale ROB between Vile Parle and Andheri stations.

Some of the Harbour Line services were cancelled amid the block between Saturday and Tuesday.
The Western Railway lines in Mumbai’s suburban include -Main Line from Churchgate to Dahanu Road (123 km); Harbour Line from Goregaon to Mahim onwards connecting Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus and Panvel (Double Lines); and Vasai – Diva / Panvel Route (Double Lines).
