The experts have stated, “now that winter is supposed to get over, the overall AQI is also expected to improve gradually in Mumbai…” Moreover, as of 08:30 am Thursday, the temperature in Mumbai was recorded to be around 26 degrees Celsius, according to the official website of the Regional Meteorological Center, Mumbai. In other news, the Bombay Lawyers Association approached the Bombay High Court with a PIL seeking action against Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju related to their public comments that show a “lack of faith in the Constitution by attacking institutions, including the Sup reme Court”. Rijiju has repeatedly questioned the Collegium system even as Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar recently raised the “basic structure” doctrine on the powers of the judiciary vis-a-vis the legislature. The PIL claimed that the conduct of the two executive officials has “lowered the prestige of the Supreme Court in public”.
