CCTV footage from the railway platform showed the inspector waiting for the local train to arrive.
He laid down on the track as the train approached, while other passengers on the platform watched in awe.

A case in connection with the matter was registered at the Vile Parle police station, under GRP jurisdiction.
According to the Western Railways PRO, the inspector’s suicide was not driven by work-related stress.
Further investigations into the case are underway.
