Mumbai, Maharashtra News Live Updates (August 22): Mumbai and suburbs are likely to have generally cloudy sky with moderate rain on Monday. There is also a possibility of occasional intense spells of rainfall.

Meanwhile, in a bid to rejuvenate the party cadre in the state, Shiv Sena Chief Uddhav Thackeray is expected to start a statewide tour which is proposed to kick off from Thane, the fief of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde who recently split from the Sena. The tour, which is being called the ‘Maha Prabodhan Yatra’, is expected to see Thackeray tour the state and hold rallies in each of the 48 Lok Sabha constituencies in the state.

In other news, Thane Central Prison Superintendent has written to the Thane Municipal Corporation to put up view cutters on the part of the Thane-Kalwa flyover that passes closer to the jail. Speaking to The Indian Express, Harshad Ahirrao, Superintendent of Thane jail, said, “This arm of the Thane Kalwa flyover gives a very clear view of the jail and the ongoings. It is an issue of security concern for us. A month back we have written to the executing authority of this flyover to put up a complete view cutter so that the hanging shed and other parts of the jail are not visible to motorists and the common public.”
