Mumbai News Live Updates: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) while giving a clean chit to Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, in the last year’s drugs-on-cruise case has said that there was no recovery of drugs from him, nor was there any concrete evidence to prove that he conspired with the other accused.
Maharashtra on Friday recorded 536 new coronavirus infections — the highest one-day rise in cases since March 3 — but zero pandemic-related fatalities, the health department said. The tally of active cases crossed the 2,500-mark, it said. On March 3, the state had recorded 544 new infections. The state’s COVID-19 caseload rose to 78,84,865 while death toll stood unchanged at 1,47,858.
Women in Tiradshet village, Nashik district broke into protest on Saturday expressing their angst against severe water scarcity which remains unabated in their village. “Despite our village being in the vicinity of Nashik city, we don’t have water facilities for the last 50 years. Women here walk every day to fetch water. Most of us are labourers, still we have to scramble for water instead of going to work”, they said, according to news agency ANI.
