With Covid-19 cases in the state and the city rising rapidly again, cabinet minister Aslam Shaikh said, “It is a matter of concern that daily cases in the state are nearly 500 after being less than 150 a few weeks ago.” Mumbai once again is leading the rise.
“Even during the last wave, cases had first started increasing in Mumbai. So, we have to remain alert,” he said. Daily hospitalisations in Mumbai that had dropped to a single digit in April have doubled in the past three days.
