Mumbai is first dist to give 2cr jabs – Times of India

Mumbai: The city completed 2 crore Covid-19 vaccinations, becoming the first district in the state to reach the landmark.
Almost 111% of people have taken the first shot in the city and 96% have taken both the doses. These figures include beneficiaries from the neighbouring districts.Closest to Mumbai is Pune district that has administered 1.71 crore shots since the start of the drive in January 2021.
Of the city’s 2 crore doses, 1.5 crore are first doses, 90.9lakh are second doses and 3.29lakh are precautionary doses. Mayor Kishori Pednekar said that all eligible citizens should take both doses of Covid-19 vaccine in time, especially those who are yet to take their second shots.
