Mumbai News Updates: City logs over 300 new coronavirus cases, three deaths

Mumbai on Sunday recorded 315 fresh Covid-19 cases, taking the tally to 7,55,947, while the death toll climbed to 16,247 with three more deaths. Active cases in the city stand at 3,849. Also, 429 patients were discharged today, taking the total number of recoveries to 7,33,318. Mumbai’s average recovery rate now stands at 97 per cent. At present, 35 buildings have been sealed in the BMC limits due to the presence of Covid-19 positive persons in them. Meanwhile, the prices of Petrol and diesel were hiked for the fourth straight day by 35 paise per litre each, pushing pump rates to a new record high. The price of petrol rose to Rs 115.15 per litre and diesel Rs 106.23 in Mumbai.Read Less
