Aryan Khan’s bail plea to be heard by Bombay HC on Tuesday – India Today

The bail plea of Aryan Khan, who was arrested in connection with the Mumbai Cruise drugs bust case, will be heard before the Bombay High Court on Tuesday.

After a Mumbai special court rejected Aryan Khan’s bail plea, his counsel approached the Bombay High Court to seek bail in the drugs case. Now, the bail hearing will take place next week on Tuesday.

It’s been over two weeks since Aryan Khan was arrested by the NCB after a high-profile raid on a cruise ship on October 2. He is currently lodged in the Arthur Road prison. So far, 20 people have been arrested by the central agency in connection with the case.

The bail plea of Bollywoof actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan has been rejected twice. While rejecting the bail application of the 23-year-old star kid on Wednesday, Judge VV Patil held that prima facie there is evidence against him. Judge Patil wrote that though Aryan Khan was not found in possession of drugs, Aryan and Arbaaz Merchant are good friends. They travelled together to the International Cruise Terminal on October 2 and in their voluntary statement, spoke about the drugs, which implies that Aryan knew about the contraband.

Aryan Khan along with Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha have been booked for offences under Sections 8(c), 20(b), 27, 28, 29 and 35 of the NDPS Act.

Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan met his son Aryan Khan in the Arthur Road jail on Wednesday. He spent around 18 minutes with his son and used the intercom to interact with him at the inmate meeting section of the jail. During the meeting, Aryan Khan looked emotional, sources said.
