Mumbai Weather Forecast Live, Coronavirus Mumbai Live Updates: Mumbai reported 514 new coronavirus positive cases and four fatalities on Wednesday, taking the tally to 7,36,284 and death toll to 16,037, a civic official said. This is after a gap of a week that the daily COVID-19 case count has once again surged over 500 in the country’s financial capital.
On Tuesday, Mumbai had reported 367 coronavirus infections, the fourth straight day of under-400 cases, and five fatalities.
Meanwhile, metropolitan magistrate’s court on Tuesday granted exemption from appearance to actor Kangana Ranaut in the defamation proceedings filed by poet-lyricist Javed Akhtar, and said that it would issue an arrest warrant against her if she remains absent during the next hearing.
In other news, the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) has decided to scrap the proposed Light Rail Transit system and instead build a conventional metro line as an internal transportation system for the city.
Meanwhile, a 49-year-old businessman from south Mumbai has been booked for rash driving after his car reportedly entered Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s convoy on Monday.
