Covid-19: Mumbai reports 334 new cases, two deaths on Monday – Times of India

MUMBAI: Mumbai on Monday reported 334 new cases of coronavirus, taking the total caseload of the city to 7,43,832.
Two persons succumbed to the virus in the past 24 hours, with which the death toll climbed to 15,976, as per the latest data by Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
Mumbai’s total recoveries surged to 7,22,349 with 310 more persons beating the virus. The recovery rate of the city is pitched at 97 per cent.
At present, 3,056 persons are undergoing treatment for Covid-19 in the metropolis.
The overall growth rate of cases in Mumbai from August 23 to August 29 is just 0.05 per cent, while the doubling rate is 1,577 days, the civic body data mentioned.
While there are no active containment zones left in Mumbai, a total of 27 buildings are still sealed due to Covid-19 cases being reported among the residents.
