Mumbai reports 324 new Covid-19 cases, nine deaths | Mumbai News – Times of India

MUMBAI: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said that Mumbai city on Thursday reported 324 new Covid-19 cases, taking the total count to 7,36,346.
At present, there are 4,529 active patients in Mumbai.
As many as 315 patients were discharged from hospitals post-recovery today. The total number of positive patients recovered and discharged till date stands at 7,13,476.
Meanwhile, nine people including seven with co-morbidities succumbed to the deadly virus. The total death toll reached 15,929.
On the other hand, the BMC health workers conducted 34,145 tests in a day. The total number of Covid-19 tests done till date stands at 83,09,593.
The recovery rate of the Mumbai district is 97 per cent, while the doubling rate is 1,591 days.
The civic body has also sealed off 41 buildings and declared four areas as ‘Active Containment Zones’ to contain the spread of the Covid-19 virus.
