Rain lashes various parts of Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai – Times of India

MUMBAI: Several parts of Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai received moderate to intense spells of rains on Thursday.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for Sunday indicating heavy rains in Mumbai and Thane.
Meanwhile, the IMD in its daily bulletin on Thursday predicted heavy rainfall at isolated places over Maharashtra. On Thursday, IMD’s Mumbai center issued a heavy rain warning for Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Nasik, Ahmednagar, Pune, Satara, Sangli, Solapur, Kolhapur, Aurangabad, Parbhani, Jalna, Beed, Hingoli, Nanded, Bhandara, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, Gondia, Nagpur Latur and Osmanabad.

The IMD has predicted light to moderate rain in parts of Mumbai, Thane and Palghar over the next two days.
The weather bureau issued an orange alert (heavy to very heavy rain) for Raigad (July 11-12), Ratnagiri (July 10-July 12), Sindhudurg (July 10-12), Pune (July 12), Kolhapur (July 11- July 12) and Satara (July 12).
IMD Colaba and Santacruz observatories have reported 720.0 mm and 988.5 mm rainfall since June 1.
In the last 24 hours, between (8.30 am on Wednesday-8.30am on Thursday), the IMD Colaba observatory recorded 5.4 mm of rain. The IMD Santacruz observatory recorded 1.5 mm of rain.
Fishermen are advised not to venture along and off the North and South Maharashtra-Goa coast from July 10 to July 12.
