Maharashtra, on Monday, reported 51,751 new coronavirus positive cases. The total number of cases in the state reached 34,58,996. As many as 258 patients succumbed to the virus and took the death toll to 58,245. There are presently 5,64,746 active cases in the state.Mumbai recorded 6,905 newcases and 43 deaths on Monday. Two new facilities with a collective capacity of 375 beds have become functional in Worli. The bed capacity of the dedicated COVID-19 health centre in the National Sports Complex is being expanded to 800 beds from 500.Maharashtra Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad announced that the board examinations for class 10 and 12 will be postponed due to rising COVID cases.In other news, former Home Minister Anil Deshmukh has been summoned by Central Bureau Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday (April 14) in connection to alleged corruption charges levelled against him.Take a look at all the latest updates from Mumbai today:
