Maharashtra reported 63,294 new COVID-19 cases and 349 people succumbed to the virus on Sunday. As many as 34,008 patients recovered and were discharged from hospitals. With 9,989 positive cases reported on Sunday in Mumbai, the total caseload reached 5,20,214. As many as 58 patients succumbed to the deadly virus.Meanwhile, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray discussed issues like availability of oxygen, use of Remdesivir, availability of beds, treatment methods, enhancement of facilities, imposition of restrictions, strict punitive action with the state COVID task force. The CM will discuss the matters further in another meeting on Monday.In other news, NCP chief Sharad Pawar will undergo a gallbladder operation today at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital.
