The number of new COVID-19 cases continues to increase in Mumbai city with the number crossing 500 for the fourth consecutive day on Saturday. The cases were below 400 for the first 10 days in February. The BMC has also clarified that local train timing for the general public is unlikely to change due to rising cases. The maximum city reported 529 fresh cases and six deaths on Saturday. With this, the total count of cases in Mumbai went up to 3,13,431. Meanwhile, in another development, the Mumbai police’s crime branch has arrested a drug peddler with over 3 kg of charas worth Rs 1.02 crore from suburban Malad.
