MUMBAI: A 28-year-old woman and her three minor sons have gone missing from their Nalasopara home since last week. Her husband, Balkrishna Shukla (33), an autorickshaw driver registered a missing case with the Valiv police on March 12.
Shweta (28) is suspected to have left her Om Sai chawl home at Dhanivbaug, Nalasopara (east), on March 11 with her sons Karan (12), Aryan (10) and Anuj (7) while Balkrishna was away at work. He has said on not finding his family at home, he launched a search for them, but in vain. A day later he approached the police.
The couple is believed to have had a fight a day before the woman and children went missing. Police are questioning Balkrishna who made calls to relatives in their native town in Uttar Pradesh to check if they had any information about his family. Police said three teams have been formed and a search has been launched for the woman and the children. Shweta’s cellphone, which is switched off, is being tracked.
