Mumbai News Live Updates, January 27, 2023: On his first visit to Thane since the Shiv Sena split last year, the party’s (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray Thursday took on Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde for the “betrayal” he inflicted on the Sena, as well as Maharashtra. Thackeray was visiting Shinde’s home turf to inaugurate a medical camp on the eve of Anand Dighe’s birth anniversary when he asserted that the whole country knows they (Shinde-led Sena) “sold out”, and for how much. Shinde, when asked about Thackeray’s remarks, said, “In a democracy, everyone has the right to carry out propaganda for one’s party and work for its expansion.”

In other news, a massive fire broke out on the 42nd floor of a 45-storey building in Dadar on Thursday night. The Level-4 fire was reported at RA Residency Tower, located opposite the Mumbai Marathi Grantha Sangrahalaya on BA Road in Dadar East. No injuries were reported.

Meanwhile, according to the regional meteorological centre, the current temperature in Mumbai is around 20 degrees Celsius. It has predicted calm winds will prevail in the city throughout the day.
