Mumbai win big – Times of India

Visakhapatnam: Andhra lost tamely to Mumbai in the first match of the Ranji trophy tournament with a day to spare, at the PVG Raju Sports Complex, Vizianagaram, on Thursday. Mumbai won by nine wickets after dismissing the hosts for 131 in their second innings.
Andhra did well in restricting Mumbai to 331 after the visitors resumed at 290 for six. Armaan Jaffer fell at the overnight score of 116 while Tanush Kotian went on to complete an unbeaten half century. Off-spinner Shoaib Md Khan who scored 84 on the first day, did well with the ball claiming four wickets and medium pacer KV Sasikanth took three and left-arm spinner A. Sasikanth claimed Prithiv Shaw for the second time in the match and Mumbai won by nine wickets. Andhra play their next match against Tamil Nadu in Coimbatore from December 20.
