Mumbai News Live Updates (Novembr 30):  The Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC) on Wednesday completed the 100 per cent tunnelling work of Colaba-Bandra-SEEPZ, the Line 3 of Mumbai Metro. It will cover Mumbai Central, Mahalaxmi, Science Museum, Acharya Atre Chowk and Worli Metro stations.

In other news, Maharashtra Tourism Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha triggered a controversy by equating Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s historic Agra escape to Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s defection from the Uddhav Thackeray-led camp in Maharashtra.

Fumed over the comparison, Shinde said Shivaji cannot be compared with anyone and his party worships and draws inspiration from him.

In another development, a special court in Mumbai rejected the bail plea of former Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik in an alleged money laundering case linked to the activities of fugitive gangster Dawood Ibrahim and his aides. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrested the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader in February this year. The ED claimed the accused was dealing with Dawood and his sister Hasina Parkar and “there is no question of him being innocent”.
