MUMBAI: Thursday’s downpour accompanied by ongoing infrastructure work impacted traffic movement in the city. Traffic police said that vehicular movement was slow near the Family Court at Bandra Kurla Complex, Ram Mandir Junction, Malad subway and Mrunaltai Gore flyover. Due to ongoing metro work on the Western Express Highway (WEH), South-bound vehicular movement was slow at Payal Hotel Junction in Dahisar. Mumbai Rain Updates Heavy congestion was reported in Hiranandani area in Powai, JVLR and the stretch near IIT Powai after a fire broke out near a shopping centre at Powai earlier in the day. A car crash led to traffic slowing down near Hotel Sahara Star, Vile Parle East while a pipeline burst led to congestion at Khareghat Road. Additional traffic police personnel were posted to guide motorists.
