Mumbai: Transporters protest against increase in third party premium for goods vehicles – Times of India

MUMBAI: Transporters across the country are protesting against increase in third party premium for goods and passenger commercial vehicles.
All India Motor Transport Congress chairman (core committee) Bal Malkit Singh warned that this will increase the operational costs of transport vehicles.
“This could have a cascading effect as the burden will be on the end user — the consumers who will have to pay more for the goods,” he said.
“It is a unanimous view of the road transport fraternity of India that the increase in third party premium for goods and passenger commercial vehicles is uncalled for,” he added.
