Opposition leader Devendra Fadnavis said it was an insult to patriotic Muslim. Speaking to the media, Fadnavis said this would be unacceptable, not just to Hindus, but Muslims as well. Aurangazeb cannot be the leader of Indian Muslims, he said, reminding that it was Aurangazeb who had tortured Sambhaji Raje, the son of Shivaji Maharaj, and his glorification is unacceptable.
