Mumbai News Live: A major fire broke out on the 14th floor of a 21-storey residential building situated near Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan’s bungalow ‘Mannat’ in Mumbai’s Bandra west on Monday evening. The Mumbai Fire Brigade has sent 8 fire engines, 7 jumbo water tanker for fire fighting. One fireman Kaushal Rajput (31) received minor injury due to suffocation. Fire has been covered from all side.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday morning carried out a series of raids at premises linked to several of gangster Dawood Ibrahim’s associates and a few hawala operators.”Raids are being done in Nagpada, Goregaon, Borivali, Santacruz, Mumbra, Bhendi Bazar, and other places,” the NIA announced. Dawood’s associate Salim Fruit was detained amid the raids, and some important documents were retrieved from his residence, ANI reported.

Meanwhile, after being discharged from hospital on Sunday, Independent MP Navneet Rana launched a scathing attack on Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, accusing him of misusing his power, and alleged that she was harassed and tortured in the lockup and jail, just for using Lord Ram’s name.

A two-day training camp for Khadim-ul-Hujjaj — people who aid and support pilgrims during Haj pilgrimage — was inaugurated by Union minister for minority affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi. The inaugural ceremony took place at Haj House in Mumbai. Over 400 Khadim-ul-Hujjaj, including 12 women, are participating from across the country. As part of their training, they will be made aware of all processes related to Haj, including accommodation, transportation, health and safety facilities for Haj pilgrims in Makkah-Madina.
