Mumbai News Highlights: ED attaches assets of firm owned by brother-in-law of Uddhav Thackeray; Mumbai reports 26 new Covid-19 cases – The Indian Express

Mumbai News:  The ED on Tuesday has attached assets worth Rs 6.45 crore of a company owned by the brother-in-law of Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray in connection with a money laundering investigation. The ED in a statement said the attached assets include 11 residential flats in a real estate project called Neelambari in Thane.

Mumbai reported 26 new Covid-19 cases and zero deaths in the last 24 hours, BMC said. While 49 patients recovered from the infection, the city has 275 active cases at present.

Meanwhile, the Enforcement Directorate(ED) on Tuesday searched premises linked to Nawab Malik in Kurla. Malik was arrested on February 23 by the ED in a money-laundering probe linked to fugitive gangster Dawood Ibrahim and his aides. Malik remains in judicial custody till April 4.
