Mumbai: Driver injured in BEST bus accident at Dadar dies, conductor critical – Times of India

MUMBAI: The bus driver, Rajendra Kale, injured in the accident in which the BEST bus hit a dumper two days back was declared dead at Sion hospital this morning .
The conductor, Kashinath Dhuri, who was also seriously injured is in critical condition.
Ten persons, including the driver and conductor of a BEST bus and two teenagers, were injured when the ‘speeding bus’ crashed into a dumper near Dadar TT on Wednesday morning.
The front portion of the bus was mangled in the mishap and it took some time to remove the driver who was badly trapped on his seat, with the windscreen and metal frame smashed over him. The injured were shifted to Sion hospital for treatment.
Two passengers are also reported to be critical at Sion hospital while four have been discharged from the hospital. Two other injured passengers sustained minor injuries and they were not admitted to the hospital, officials said.
