Covid-19: Mumbai reports less than 400 cases for fourth consecutive day – Times of India

MUMBAI: For the fourth day in a row, Mumbai city recorded less than 400 cases of coronavirus.
On Tuesday, 367 fresh cases of Covid-19 came up in the city. With that, the overall caseload has now surged to 7,35,770.
Five persons — all over 60 years of age and with comorbidities — succumbed to the virus in the past 24 hours.
The death toll of the city has now climbed to 16,033.
On the other hand, the number of new recoveries outnumbered the fresh cases in the metropolis once again.
Mumbai’s recovery toll has climbed to 7,12,570 with 408 persons getting discharged from hospitals and Covid care centres on Tuesday.
At present, 4,696 persons are undergoing treatment for Covid-19 in Mumbai.
While the city’s recovery rate remains steady at 97 per cent, the doubling rate is pitched at 1,286 days.
The overall growth rate of Covid-19 cases in Mumbai from September 7 to September 13 is 0.06 per cent.
Currently, there are 38 sealed buildings in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation limits, while there are no containment zones in the city.
