The financial hub of the country recorded 575 new coronavirus cases on Tuesday, taking the total caseload to 7,17,683. Also, 14 patients succumbed to the infection, pushing the death toll to 15,216. The Bombay High Court on Tuesday directed the Maharashtra government to file a reply to a Public Interest Litigation which demanded that parents should be able to pay school fees in installments in view of the economic stress caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Maharashtra on Tuesday reported 9,350 fresh cases of coronavirus, taking the case tally to 59,24,773. The death toll has mounted to 1,14,154.
