Mumbai News LIVE: City reports less than 3,000 corona cases; BMC refutes Devendra Fadnavis’ ‘fudging data’ claims

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Sunday refuted the claims made by former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis that the civic body was ‘fudging figures of COVID-19 deaths and infection rate in Mumbai. It stated that the statistics were transparent and that the data is being recorded as per criteria laid down by the World Health Organization and Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). The city on Sunday reported less than 3,000 coronavirus cases for the second day in a row, as 2,403 persons tested positive and 68 died.
