Mumbai reports 4,966 new COVID-19 cases; BMC says govt and MCGM vaccination Centres will be functional post 12 pm on Thursday – Times of India

Mumbai city on Wednesday reported 4,966 new COVID cases, with the number remaining below 6,000 for the fifth day in a row. 78 people also succumbed to the deadly virus in the city. Whereas, 5,300 patients were also discharged from hospitals post-recovery. The active cases stand at 65,589. Thane city saw a spike of 971 cases and 15 deaths. Meanwhile, due to a shortage of COVID vaccines, 40 of 73 private vaccination Centres will remain shut on Thursday.
