Mumbai News Live: With 8,834 new COVID-19 cases, over 1100 buildings sealed – Times of India

Maharashtra continues to remain the worst-affected state with as many as 67,123 new infections, 56,783 recoveries and 419 deaths reported on Saturday. The total number of positive cases in the state now stands at 37,70,707. There are 6,47,933 active cases at present and the death toll in the state has gone up to 59,970. The total number of recoveries have gone up to 30,61,174. As many as 8,834 cases were reported in Mumbai on Saturday. The total count of COVID-19 cases in Mumbai now stands at 5,70,832, with 87,369 active cases. Also, Mumbai Police Commissioner Hemant Nagrale informed that a self-sticking colour-coded policy will be implemented in three colours- red, green and yellow in order to limit vehicular traffic on Mumbai roads and to allow vehicles related to essential services with more ease amid COVID-19 restrictions.
