Mumbai: 30-year-old woman operating flesh trade racket held; girl among three rescued by cops – Times Now

Thane: In yet another appalling incident, a 30-year-old woman was arrested on grounds of allegedly operating a flesh trade racket. The incident was reported from Mira Bhayandar in Maharashtra’s Thane district.

The police have managed to rescue three people including a girl from the flesh trade racket, according to an official.

The police received a tip-off

The City police received a tip-off regarding the racket being operated and based on the complaint, the Bhayandar-Vasai Virar (MBVV) police raided a roadside eatery on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway on Tuesday.

After the raid, the police managed to nab the woman operating the racket. The woman has been identified as Nisha alias Amarjit Jaswant Singh Kaur, as per the police.

Police rescued three

According to the police, following a raid at the eatery, police rescued three including two women and a girl in connection with the racket.

The police have also registered an offence against the woman operating the flesh trade racket and one more woman, who is wanted in connection with this case.

Human trafficking racket busted

In another shocking case from the national capital, an NGO managed to rescue 45 minor boys who had been trafficked to Delhi from Bihar in 2020.

The minors worked in a small and dark bangle factory and hardly earned anything. As per the NGO representative, when the factory owners came to know about the raid, they even locked some minors inside the washroom. The report states that the rescued minors were in the age group of seven to fifteen. No arrest has been made so far.
