Mumbai City News Live: Maharashtra lockdown decision on April 2; Fire breaks out in Prabhadevi godown – Times of India

A night curfew will be imposed in Maharashtra starting tomorrow (Sunday). Mumbai on Friday reported the highest single-day spike of 5,513 new cases of coronavirus and with that, the tally of the metropolis climbed to 3,85,628 with 11,629 deaths. The city has seen 3,35,261 recoveries to date and has 37,804 active cases at present. Malls across the state will remain shut from 8 pm to 7 am. A decision on lockdown will be taken on April 2, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar informed.In other news, the Sion flyover will be closed for vehicles on weekends, starting today, for repair and maintenance work. In the Bhandup Dreams Mall fire incident, a total of 11 patients of the Sunrise Hospital have died so far. BMC Commissioner Iqbal Chahal has ordered a report on the incident within 15 days.
